Terms of Service
Welcome to South Bay Whoop Repair. By using our services or purchasing products from our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Service Agreement

Diagnostic Fee: A non-refundable bench fee of $60 is required for all repair check-ins. This covers the time spent troubleshooting and testing your craft.

Quotes & Approval: We will provide an estimate for parts and labor after the diagnostic is complete. Work will only begin once you have provided digital or written approval.

Payment: Full payment for labor and parts is required at or before the time of pickup. We do not offer payment plans or "fly now, pay later" options.
2. Customer Responsibilities

Data & Settings: While we strive to preserve your Betaflight or hardware settings, South Bay Whoop Repair is not responsible for lost configurations or data. Please back up your CLI/Dump files before dropping off your quad.

Batteries: For safety reasons, please do not leave LiPo batteries with your craft unless specifically requested for troubleshooting.
3. Liability & Safety

Inherent Risk: FPV drones are high-performance machines. South Bay Whoop Repair is not liable for any damages to property, injury to persons, or legal fines (FAA/Local) resulting from the use or misuse of a drone after it has been serviced.

Testing: All repairs are hover-tested or bench-tested. However, the nature of FPV involves high-speed flight and potential crashes. Once the craft leaves our hands, the pilot assumes all flight risks.

Electronics Failure: We are not responsible for the failure of aged or crash-damaged components that occur during the normal course of a repair (e.g., a damaged pad lifting during a necessary desoldering process).
4. Abandoned Property

Pickup Timeline: Once a repair is completed and you are notified, you have 14 days to coordinate a pickup.

Storage Fees: Items left longer than 14 days may be subject to a storage fee of $5 per day.

Forfeiture: Any item left unclaimed for more than 45 days from the date of the final invoice will be considered abandoned. Abandoned property may be sold to recover the costs of parts and labor, or recycled.
5. Local-Only Policy

No Shipping: We are a local San Diego service. We do not accept shipped items. All transactions must be handled via local drop-off and pickup in the South Bay area. Any items shipped to us without prior written consent will be returned to the sender at their expense or refused.
6. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. Prices for our services and products are subject to change without notice.
